Review on Enhanced Lighting Efficiency: Philips 345017 Twin Tube Compact Fluorescent by Darnell Golden

Useful replacement for OttLite T18330

I bought this to replace the illuminant in an OttLite lamp. I believe it used the equivalent of an OttLite T18330 18w replacement tube bulb, but I can't say for sure as the old bulb was marked OttLite but had no part number. This lamp was cheaper than OttLite or others. Compatible bulbs are available at major hardware stores. According to the manufacturer's claims for durability, it's also designed to last longer. The original OttLite lamp is said to be a fluorescent lamp, which in practice means a high color temperature (around 6500K), although OttLite does not meet the advertised specifications. Check the temperature. It's a little difficult to compare an old, weak, worn out bulb to a new bulb, but this new Philips 4100K bulb has a different hue to the old bulb - less blue/white, but not significantly different. But I think if you want an identical look you should go for the OttLite T18330 or order a 6500K bulb elsewhere.
