Review on Bosch Automotive (FGR5KQE0) Copper With Nickel Spark Plug - Pack Of 10 by Steve Cypert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great on my Buick Encore!

So it's hard to worry too much about candles. They do their job and you need to know pretty well if they arrived intact and if they are easy to install. Yes to both questions. They arrived in good condition and were exceptionally good value given the cost of dual iridium. Especially since you extend the service life of the fork with the double coating. A few notes: These parts do NOT require anti-seize compound for installation. It's a bit hard to read on microscopic instruction paper, but the connectors are pre-coated with Ni anti-corrosion so you don't want to apply non-stick coating. Another thing is gaps. You cannot and should not caulk these connectors as this can damage your expensive iridium plating and cause the connectors to fail more quickly. There are many warnings on the plug box to let you know. My installation went without any problems. 5/8" (16 mm) nut = I used a torque wrench to set it to 18 ft. lb. Bosh recommends the following torques depending on the engine block: Cast Iron: 15-29 lb. ft. Aluminum: 15-22 lb ft It took me a while to find the specs so I've attached a copy for you.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
