I bought a cheap Pyle backup camera and monitor kit but didn't want to cut a hole in the back of my camper van to install it. So I bought this camera too and installed it between the bumper and the spare tire on the back of the van. It was quick and easy to install. I routed the wires to the receiver tube and connected power and ground to the running lights instead of the reverse lights. This way I only have to turn on the headlights or chasers and the camera. included. In my opinion, a 20 foot RCA video cable is too short for any vehicle large enough to warrant a backup camera. Since I had 2 of these I bought a coupler and put them together and to my surprise I only had about 5 extra feet. Video quality is very good during the day, but is a bit grainy and horizontally striped at night. This works to reverse into a camper place at night and is great for supporting my boat during the day. I can even turn it down to see the clutch and it makes the connection easier. I would like a better monitor and maybe a better video cable, but there are no complaints about the camera.
