CAREFULLY insert the filter with O-ring secured by the hex nut into the valve body. While holding the filter side up, turn the hex nut counterclockwise (it moves away from the valve body) approximately 4 to 5 turns. Insert the filter into the fuel tank through the fuel tank outlet nipple until it (the nipple) bottoms against the hex nut. While holding the valve body in its final selected position, finger tighten the hex nut. While holding the valve body to prevent it from rotating, tighten the hex nut with a suitable wrench. Finally, connect the carburetor inlet adjustment to the valve outlet, fill the tank with fuel and check for leaks. From start to finish. Less than 5 minutes. Step aside and admire a job well done!
