This jacket is well made and can be worn for several seasons. I'm 5ft 6in, 152lbs and usually wear a size 6-8 or medium, somewhere between an hourglass and athletic build. I bought the large because I have trouble with things being too tight on my arms and I wanted to wear a sweater. , The enlargement was the right decision. It's slightly fitted with a sweater underneath and fits great without a sweater. I like that the hood is detachable.
