Although the photo quality of this camera is amazing, there is one annoying point in its performance that makes me doubt to buy it. There is a delay of about one to two seconds between pressing the photo button and actually taking the photo. I took the camera with me on vacation and when other people offered to take photos of my family. Explain to them NOT to move the camera for a few seconds after pressing the button so we don't all come out blurry. I'm surprised this isn't listed in the camera reviews. It's a shame I didn't know that, because that's a serious flaw. This camera is terrible when shooting in auto mode on the go. I haven't tried advanced settings yet. I have to study that more closely. Also, the camera takes a long time to "warm up" when you open the lid and get ready to take a picture. Very little spontaneity is possible with this camera unless you put it away and only take it out to take pictures. This camera is best suited for still photos and portraits of people. This is not a "get up and go" camera with fast response times and responsiveness. I hope my inquiries to Olympus clear this up as a simple programming issue so I can speed up the camera. But right now I feel like the camera isn't as versatile as I'd like it to be.
