This was the first year we had an artificial Christmas tree, so I looked for a pine scent. I've tried Christmas Eve, Bayberry, and Dickens. Neither my husband nor I have any special ability to distinguish smells. All of the scents we tried were pleasant, but none of them smelled like pine. Christmas Eve smelled like snow and a little sweet. We didn't get any compliments during the Christmas party, but that's because it's understated and not overwhelming (which we prefer). Bayberry had a sweet floral scent but definitely not pine or woody. We've never sniffed Bayberry before, so it's hard for us to comment. Dickens was very good, but none of us could tell him apart from the rest. I would say it smelled like mulled wine. The cubes slowly melted in the wax warmer. They lasted 3-4 hours before I turned them off. Two days later I reheated the hardened wax and the scent came out again. I didn't know hardened wax could be reused and that was a bonus. I will continue to use the scents throughout the holiday season but will still be looking for a pine scent for my artificial tree.
