The Elegoo Saturn is perhaps the ideal printer size for miniature RPG printers. Mars 3 seems to have already been released. It has a 4K screen at half the size of the work platform. That must mean double resolution! And yet if you compare the prints, even under a magnifying glass, you'll see little improvement in quality over the 2.5k Mars 2, which has about the same pixel size as the Saturn. In exchange for that punch. nothing helps with a resolution, you get about half the size of the building board. Don't get me wrong, I have a Mars 2 and love it. But those little build plates end up disappointing everyone. You can do more. But the upcoming Jupiter is HUGE, contains so much resin you have to keep printing, and has such a bug buildplate you can't buy a washing and curing machine for it - and resin is pathetic without it. Mega 8K is the thing. Also huge. Also drinks resin. And their way of dealing with the suction of such a large build plate is by drilling holes in them that collect resin, which then drips everywhere. The cleaning issues with these big printers are so pathetic that you really don't want to print just a mini printer or two. You must print big boobs or cosplay costumes or you will hate your life. Saturn is perfectly in the middle. It's bigger than any entry-level printer you'll grow into later. It's small enough to only cost $500 instead of the planned $1,300 like Jupiter. The release of the new sink system Elegoo is perfect for construction. It just works. In case I complain: - The power switches on the back are a bit fiddly. - USB on the side is annoying. - The build plate adhesion is so good you need a magnetic flex plate and cheap mud. But it really is. It's said to be a year old, which seems old for resin printers. But the fictional Elegoo launches everything, and you can't buy any of their products within six months of the fauxstarter's launch. So it could actually be six months old and old enough that you can finally get parts when you need them. In return, all kinks are eliminated, unlike other early Elegoo versions that come with wobbly Z-rails or don't reach full Z-height. Yes, Elegoo may announce a replacement soon, but it will be at least six months before you can actually buy it. bulky giants, take the one that made it first time.
