I bought this for my husband for Christmas so he could believe his words whilst watching The Great British Cooking Show and try out his own culinary adventures. Ironically, the electricity seemed to startle him when he turned it on. Love it: it mixes great, spreads cakes great, and while we haven't tried the dough hook yet, I'm sure it's powerful enough to make bread. Got it on a Revain deal of the day so the price was a real steal. Looks nice, works well. The only gripe I have is that you have to make sure you place the bowl just right or the blender blade won't be able to work around the outer rim. Once you understand that there is only one correct position, this is not a problem. I am satisfied and can only recommend it. Maybe my husband will try again and drag me out of the kitchen.
