Look elsewhere

I really like Lenovo laptops in general so I have a lot expected of it. However, my first impression was not very good. This laptop looks very cheap, the plastic case feels fragile. The keyboard also feels incredibly cheap. While the keys themselves are okay, the entire keyboard sags a bit when typing due to the lack of support on the underside. In addition, the edges of the keyboard where the hands rest are particularly sharp, which makes it quite uncomfortable to use even for a short time. The trackpad works a little better. It responds intelligently to both presses and clicks. The display just looks bad. Colors, brightness, contrast and viewing angles are poor and not suitable for multimedia productions. The sound is quite loud and hardly distorted at full volume. However, it lacks bass and is poorly suited for any kind of media consumption. I wasn't able to check the camera as it was clearly so scratched that it was unusable. I found this particularly odd as it was covered with a sticker that must have been applied by hand. Surprisingly, this computer doesn't have a USB-C port, which is standard on any type of laptop these days. This means the only charging option is a fairly flimsy barrel-shaped plug. Other connections include HDMI, three USB-A, an audio output and an SD card slot. The laptop has a very good fingerprint reader built into the power button, as well as a built-in security shutter on the camera. Overall I am quite disappointed with this laptop. I'm a big fan of Lenovo's line of laptops, but I think they compromised too much to compete with the mid-range Chromebook market. Instead, I would consider almost any other car.
