We tried several options. As a desktop fan, it is quiet and cool. Husband works in a garage and loves fans/gadgets/accessories. It runs on a portable charger and lasts all day. He also used it at night (likes to sleep with a fan next to his face). We had a large vertical fan that is very noisy and bulky. It takes up less space and is very quiet. We may need a second to keep one at each location. It's not a high power fan, but it's great for personal use. It's autumn now - I don't know how summer will be, but so far so good!
