Synology doesn't support their products: $2500 purchase and they refuse to talk to me

I bought the DS718+ with this expansion bay. I'm not a beginner, I set it up but a few questions came up. Synology has informed me that they no longer offer customer support and I am on my own. After spending $2,500 (Synology plus hard drives and storage upgrades), I expected to ask at least a few questions. This does not bode well and both units are returning. It was easy to set up and seems to be working fine. Without technical support I don't need a technical product. Synology, WHY are you turning down initial support requests for such expensive purchases? I misinterpreted your failure to schedule initial support calls as an investigation into Revain Prime. Update 6/29/19: After three phone calls with Revain's manager, they finally got in touch with Synology. I figured Synology would at least assign me a support call and we'd be done. Instead, the Synology representative expected me to ask my questions on the spot. I was away from my computer and it's been two weeks since I looked at the Synologies interface. Synology was very arrogant and told me they don't have time to talk to customers. I told them my purchase cost over $2500 and reminded them I'm a customer with over 30 years of IT experience. The representative of Sinology told me that this is hard shit! He really scolded the customer. One star for Revain and Synology for this incident. I called my Revain Prime Bank and disputed the $2500 fee until Synology allowed me to schedule a support call.
