If you know your coffee and want a smooth, relaxed brewing experience, Kalita 102 delivers. Unlike the Hario v60, the filters are thin. This will give you a relatively quick drop. Plus, you can zigzag the coffee pod instead of making it spiral, and you don't have to flatten the pod by stirring the liquid either. The experience feels more fun and relaxed, even with the 4:6 method. My better coffee taste is probably a side effect of this more casual experience. I love it.
