Works very well. My husband and I use it for our hedgehog and we love it. Please note that depending on where you live and weather conditions, you need to pay attention to how much lamp power to use. We live in the North West and currently use a Fluker 150w Ceramic Reptile Heater. The cell can heat up to 80-85 degrees. We don't keep it all the time simply because our hedgehog prefers temperatures around 75-80. Depending on the weather, location, and pet preference will depend on the wattage of the lamp you choose to purchase.
