I bought my chair specifically to fold compactly and fit in the trunk of my small sports car for taking to shows and being comfortable and I didn't have to get out like I would from a chair - Pocket. . This chair easily met these requirements. Folding and unfolding takes some practice, they will feel a bit stiff at first but I expect they will loosen up a bit over time. It's not a lightweight chair, but it has a very handy carrying handle if you need to take it with you everywhere. It's very easy to get out of position due to the height of the seat and the fact that it doesn't sag so you feel like you're sitting in a hole. Just lean forward a little and stand up. An additional plus is a table with a drink holder that folds out to the side. I ended up buying another one and they fit nicely side by side in the trunk of my Miata, even leaving a bit of room. I'm very happy and glad I paid a little more for what seems like it might take a while.
