Review on Enhanced Performance with EBC Brakes DP41986R Yellowstuff Street and Track Brake Pad by Daniel Evans

Revainrating 3 out of 5

2 days at the track made them crumble

Installed them on my 2013 B8.5 A4 before a track day. Before installing these pads, the A4 was bone stock. They held up well, but when they were removed the lining began to crumble. There should be a flat surface between the pad and the rotor as you can see in the photo, there isn't. My ABS started reacting randomly after a day on the track because there wasn't enough contact between the rotor and the pad. For a lighter car that's probably great, but for a two-day trip on an A4 they just don't hold up. Warmth. Look elsewhere. I will no longer use them on the track. As other reviewers have said, there's a lot of brake dust—even after the break-in period. I cleaned the wheels every week.

Pros
  • High friction pad for better braking at high speeds
Cons
  • Updates available
