Lifetime NOT 18 years. More like 3 years 3 months. I placed three of these lights in my bathroom above the mirror, assuming my bathroom gets wet from a shower once or twice a day, but the bulb says 'suitable for wet places'. Based on the statistic based on the three lightbulbs I put in my bathroom, 33.3% of those lightbulbs last a little over three years in a bathroom. The lifespan of these LED bulbs is much shorter than the advertised 18 year lifespan.
