Review on πŸ”Œ NF 816 C Subterranean Electrical Telephone Earphone with Enhanced SEO by Brian Rivenbark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works with the sprinkler control valve and the connecting cable to it from the controller.

Best money I've spent in a long time. I had a 20 year old sprinkler valve buried about a foot underground for the control wire. My irrigator was using a $1,000 locator and couldn't find the valve. About 6 inches of grass accumulation/mulching etc. As a last resort, I took this out of the Revain box and pocketed it. I had to try a few different settings but I found the red wire to the control valve wire and the black wire to ground on the control panel works best for me. Don't stick a screwdriver in the ground etc. Then, playing with the controls on the transmitter, I found a position where I had good clear tone, no static and ZERO when passing through the wire, which at least I knew where it was , starts at the switch box where the wires enter the ground. I then followed it about 100 feet in the yard and got a pure tone-zero clear tone. Both sides of pure sound were of course nothing/silent. So I guess it was soft-sound-zero (nothing)-sound-soft. SHOULD search for null this way. NOT the loudest. If there is no zero, you are not connected to the network. And no static wire disconnection. This is not covered in the manual. Anyway, I went straight to the pits and lost zero going past it. The first time I hit him with a diving rod. Deadfest perfect. That's a great thing, but you have to be able to use it by trial and error, I think. Once you've done that and move around, it's easy to find the exact final position of the box based on the changes in sound within the box. It's hard to explain, but the dipstick was right above the box I had the test dipstick in. Bingo. And I was moving pretty fast, following the wire and rocking the probe back and forth. And zero is pretty accurate, so don't swing past it from side to side. you will feel I have made. That is absolutely right. I love it because it has saved me a fortune. Now make a blueprint and save somewhere where the crates are!

Pros
  • Easily find pet fence wire, metal wire, metal pipe, electric wire, etc.
Cons
  • I will add later.
