Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Giro Ventana W: Supreme Performance Women's Mountain Cycling Shoes by Jason Guzman

Comfortable shoes for long trips

I wear women's shoes in US size 8.5. For my old cycling shoes (also a Giro) I only chose size 9 and that was a mistake. When my feet were swollen, these shoes were very tight and caused burning pain. I tried both a 9 and 10 for these shoes. I went for a size 10, although I probably could have gone for a 9. The 10's give me plenty of room in the toe box but are a little long when you first put them on. As soon as I start skating and my feet start to swell, they don't feel free anymore. I have no problem with them dangling and dangling when pedaling. Also, I thought the extra room would be good for wearing thicker wool socks in colder weather. As a road cyclist, what I appreciate about these boots: a very comfortable insole that makes it easy to wear these shoes off the bike, as well as the breathability. Mesh on top of foot (would need overshoes for cold weather) - wide toe box for my wider feet that have a hard time fitting into narrow traditional road shoes - Boa dial to allow me to precisely control the fit - loosens a bit easily when my feet swell - MTB clips that make walking easier
