This elegant leather backpack from Fossil is a truly exceptional piece of luggage, not a school item. It looks much more impressive live than in the photos. The brown leather, while strong, is also supple and fairly well finished, and all the hardware and stitching are of a very high quality. The front of the backpack has two main openings: a top zip opening leading to the main compartment and a very large zipped front pocket. Each zipper is very strong and smooth. The large compartment features a zip pocket, a large open pocket for a 13" (or even 15") laptop, and beautifully stitched pockets for pens, pencils, flash drives, and more. There is also a small zippered top compartment that can be used for keys, glasses or a very thin phone. The back of the backpack features black mesh to keep your back cool and sweat-free when carrying your computer, notes, etc. A thick elastic strap is sewn into the back to fit over the extension handle of a trolley case. The soft leather straps are also lined with mesh fabric, which makes it more comfortable to wear. There are also well-made water bottle holders on each side of the pack - although, and this is a nitpick, the holders really only fit a small bottle, like one of those 12-ounce plastic bottles you buy at the store. My large reusable water bottles are not going to stay here. That's an expensive bag! Considering its quality, it's definitely worth the money, but be prepared to tire of this style long before the pack wears out. If you can afford it and want a backpack that looks stylish and lasts almost forever, I recommend this Fossil.
