I sometimes go to Uber looking for a device that can record in the car as well as a dash cam. I was thinking about buying a car with a regular rear view camera, but when I found the Rexing V3 it fit the bill in every way. Whether you're taking an Uber, Lyft, taxi, or bus, this is an absolute must. Device! You get both a front camera and an in-cab camera, both in high resolution 1080p. The video quality of both cameras is excellent. There's an infrared setting in the cockpit, but it's noticeable so you can turn it off and the recording quality is good enough even without it. The field of vision to the front and rear is excellent. Even if you haven't used it for Uber or taxis etc, you can still run your own version of "Carpool Karaoke" with your passengers! It would also be great for an RV or other vehicle that you need to capture an interior view of. One tip: as Rexing says, do NOT format the card first. If you have a new card, just install it and it will record great. The application comes in handy for instantly transferring videos from a memory card to your phone. It automatically has a timestamp and GPS location, which is very useful. Result. This is a great working DVR and I would highly recommend it to anyone working as an Uber/Lyft/Cab driver!
