I was hoping for a solid laptop stand that I didn't have to worry about. That's it. This shelf is well built and attractive with its pure white finish. First, it's heavy and solid, and doesn't make you worry that even the largest laptop won't fit snugly and securely. I use a 15.6" gaming console and it sits perfectly on this stand with no movement or instability. Now the console gets enough air from all sides and corresponds more to my natural line of sight than before. I cannot recommend this stand highly enough. If you want to avoid back problems when bending over your laptop, this stand is for you.
