This latch looks the same as the OEM latch. It took me 20-30 minutes to install. First remove the cover from the lift gate. There are 3 screws holding the latch assembly. Screw on the new one and connect the wiring harness. I had to disconnect the battery terminals to get the latch to respond again. Snapped the lid back on after testing and I was back in business. I no longer have to lower the window and pull the manual release. My latch assembly was installed and has been running for about a month with no problems. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to replace the tailgate latch assembly/motor.
