This is my first projector so I have no comparison. A very good projector for the money. I've tested it and so far it's working fine. It was only 1 day and a few hours of testing. I point the projector at an 86 inch photographic paper background. I'm about 14 to 15 feet from the background and get just over 90 inches of screen. I don't have a projector screen yet, so I'm not sure how much better the quality would be if I had one. I think the projection screen could increase the contrast and color. The white photo paper for the background is a bit flimsy and lets light through, so it's not the best option, but it works. PROS: Resolution - Native 1080p (I'm not sure how to verify this, is it really true native 1080p, but it looks like it.) Good for me. There is no option in the menu to switch from 1080p to 720p etc. The next option is the "Aspect Ratio" option. I set it to "Just Scan" (projection shows text saying it's 1080p 60hz) Price - I think it's a pretty good price, I got lucky and got it when it was on sale for $30 off which made it even better Deal and shutdown - boot time, from the moment I press the power button Note that the projector takes about 5 seconds to boot up. When I press the power button, nothing happens. And it seems like you never turned it on, but if you wait a few seconds it turns on and is ready to use. (I'm not sure how long it takes for projectors with incandescent bulbs to start up, but I've heard it takes a long time because the incandescent bulb needs time to warm up). The shutdown time is very quick, starting from the second you press the power button. Screen size - it says it can go up to 300 inches but I don't have space to test that. But I was able to get about 90+ inches. And in the menu options, you can go to "Image Scaling" and fine-tune it from 0 to 6. Image Scaling is similar to the Scaling option. The size of the projector depends on how far the projector is from your projector's screen (or what you're projecting on), and the image scaling option lets you shrink the screen a bit if it's too big for your projector's screen, you can fine-tune his. Options - There are "Projection Mode" options if you want to hang the projector upside down or flip the image. Projector Size and Weight - It's fairly light, small in size but easy to hang up or put on a shelf. - There is a small adjustable leg at the bottom. You press the button and you exit. You can then adjust it to the desired height. Here's how I'm using it right now. Perfect. No objects need to be placed underneath. At the moment, the projector sits on an upward-slanting stool, with a small foot at the bottom helping to lift the projector. The projector is therefore not at the same height as the screen. It's slightly below the screen, but the projector allows me to adjust it to bring the image closer to the center of the screen. So you can express it in a little angelic way and that's fine. This applies to the UP and DOWN angle. USB and Buttons - 2 USB ports, one for charging. I think this should work fine with something like an Amazon Fire Stick and a USB power adapter. There are touch buttons on the top of the projector. I think they are used for media that you put on a USB stick. I do not intend to use the projector with a USB stick. So the buttons are useless to me. Dust Filter - There is a detachable dust filter that traps dust and makes cleaning easier. Not sure how well this will work. And I'm not sure how much dust gets in, but it's a good option. It looks like it will be easy to clean. duffel bag. The kit includes a nice travel bag for transportation. Inside the package it was wrapped in strong bubble wrap. I kept the bubble wrap in my bag in case I ever want to put it in my bag, the bubble wrap protects it. Product Registration - When you register a product. They give you the option to get a $2 Amazon gift card or a lifetime warranty. You might want to get a lifetime warranty. Product overview. They also offer a small gift card reward (currently $15) if you leave a review. (Partly why I'm leaving a review). You must leave a review, a screenshot of it. Send it to them. (The review gift is either a $15 gift card, free projection screen, small projector stand OR some other gift, I don't know what it is. So yes, you can choose ONE gift, just let them know what you like want) CONS: Condition (at least for me) - The projector I received had some minor permanent scuffs on the plastic. So I can't delete it. The projector looks refurbished but is being sold as new. Although I'm not sure. But the lens is in good condition and everything else looks fine. Refresh Rate - This projector has a 60Hz refresh rate. If you are using a 120Hz computer monitor or television to play games, exercise, etc., be aware that this is 60Hz. This isn't a big problem for me as all my TVs and monitors run at 60Hz. So I'm used to 60Hz. If you're used to 120Hz, you might notice a drop. There are 120Hz projectors, but they cost more to buy. Noise - A slight fan noise can be heard. However, if you watch a film, you will quickly forget the noise of the fan. But all projectors have some fan noise. The sound of my air conditioner is much louder than the sound of the projector. Adjustable Items - The projector must stand upright and should not be positioned to the left or right of the screen. There is no way to adjust to this. You can adjust just slightly below or above the screen. Keep this in mind. lack of options. Again no options. Color is one of the options for absence. There is a TINT option, but it CANNOT be selected. So I'm not sure why TINT is showing if I can't select it. There is only one color option, this setting is a general color setting, you CANNOT fine tune the colors. You cannot adjust individual colors, saturation, or hue. There is no possibility. (Although the colors are fairly accurate, I wish they were more saturated. Too bad I didn't have a chance to tweak them myself.) Firmware Software Update (via USB stick) - I can't find an available software update for this Find. I'm not sure if they will update the firmware in the future. This will make it easier to update the software, perhaps to add more options via the firmware, but there are currently no firmware updates. Blurred Edges. This projector has some blurring at the edges of the image. The center is sharper and the edges are a little blurry. Blurring is easy to see when text is displayed on the screen. For example, the Xbox One menu system. But as soon as you play a game or watch a movie, the blur becomes harder to see (unless your game has text around the edges). But given the projector's price point, blurred edges aren't that bad. I heard that many projectors have blurred edges. Probably because of the quality of the lens. For this price it can be acceptable. (and no, you cannot fix blurry edges by adjusting the settings) Heater - This projector uses an LED. Maybe a single lamp projector would generate more heat, I'm not sure, but this projector generates some heat. But it is not so bad. You may need to turn on the air conditioner or open a window after a while to cool the room. All projectors generate some heat, so this is normal. HDMI cable and POWER - These are included but short. You should buy longer cables. The power cord is the same as a desktop PC. Even if you put it on the shelf. I think "right angle" HDMI and power cables would be better so you can place the projector closer to the wall. Sound - It has a built-in speaker. And it works and works well. But just like the TV, the sound is weak. I connected the projector to my TV soundbar via the headphone jack on the back of the projector and plugged it into my soundbar's AUX port and the sound was MUCH better. I don't know how to create surround sound with this projector. I've read that Amazonian Fire Sticks have Bluetooth. So you can connect it with Bluetooth speakers. Speaker. To do this, you need to buy speakers. It's going to be MUCH better. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi No built-in Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but not sure why you need it. Connect an Amazon Firestick or Xbox One gaming system to turn the projector into a smart device. Maybe Bluetooth would be good for wireless speakers, but the Firestick has Bluetooth. Brightness - It's bright enough, but you can't see the screen perfectly unless you close the windows and dim or turn off the lights. . Then you benefit the most. So it's not the best option if you can't darken your room. But if you can darken your room, it looks great. ADDITIONAL INFO: Mounting - The user manual says this projector uses FOUR M4*8 screws, I'm not sure yet which wall mount brackets will fit this projector. I haven't installed it yet. Note during installation. The LENS must be centered with the projector screen. BUT this projector does NOT have a lens in the middle. LENS moved sideways. So make sure when mounting you are centering the LENS on the screen and NOT the projector itself. Color - (update my review after a few more tests) red. There are many shades of red. But I do notice that sometimes a bit of red can appear on the pink side. This may be related to the surface you are projecting onto. But in the end I wish there were more fine tuning options that I could use to change the color saturation for all colors, and maybe I could tweak the red color the way I think best. To overcome the lack of color fine-tuning, I think it's POSSIBLE that you can adjust the color on your input device. For example, the Xbox One may have its own color customization. But I think if you change color on xbox one is for projector. If you turn it back on to use it on your TV, you will need to configure the TV again. So I'd like to just set it up with a projector to make life easier. Also, saturation is a little flat compared to what my 4K TV and computer monitor display. BUT my TV is also an HDR TV, so you can't compare this projector to a TV, especially a 4K TV. The colors on my 4K TV are much better. CONCLUSION: This is a great projector for those who have never owned a projector before. This is a good projector for beginners. 1080p and 2 HDMI, 2 USB ports and a good price. If you already have a 4K TV and need a bigger screen, especially for movies, this is really good. It feels like having a mini cinema at home. That's great. If you have money to spend I would buy a premium 4K projector but then you need 4K content and a 4K player to use it or it's a waste of money. 4K TVs are much cheaper. If you have money and plan to use this projector frequently, especially for gaming. You might be spending over $1,000 on a 120Hz 4K HDR projector that gives you all the settings you need and can deliver 3D too. It will be a little bit closer to a real TV and also give you a HUGE screen. (although still no TV will fit) If you don't already have a TV, you should buy the biggest 4K TV you can afford and then buy a projector like this. When you have a huge wall space to accommodate your projection screen, you really need a projector. You feel like in the cinema. If you don't have a TV yet, but sometimes want to watch movies. This is a good option. It is very portable, you can put it away and move it easily. However, if you move frequently, it takes time to adjust, you have to refocus and hover (too much work). It's better to install it or put it on a shelf and set it up ONCE and never move it so that it can be used quickly.
