It's described as fitting laptops up to 17" - and that's mostly true, with ONE caveat. I'm deducting a star for that, and here's the catch: if your particular 17-inch laptop has the battery on the back (just below the screen), there may be too much weight hanging off the back of this stand. cause your laptop to detach from the back of the stand when your screen is open. In my case, it wasn't a deal breaker, but you should be aware of this if you have a large laptop. This is a really good stand though. The build quality is excellent, the stand sits firmly on the table - nothing to complain about there. I would only guess if you have a 17 inch model another choice might be better.
