metal or plastic? for clothes steamer

later Before I bought this steamer, I went online and read all the reviews to determine which one to choose: 2000 or 4000. Many reviews mentioned that 2000 was too weak to iron on, as a result I chose the 4000 model. I'm thrilled with the results, my first reaction was "Every woman deserves one of these!" It works particularly well on cotton, t-shirts and trousers. I even wear some shirts and dresses that I used to stop wearing because they wrinkle so easily and are difficult to iron. up to 90% the same, which is enough for me to refuse to iron. I'm sure if I learn to use it better I'll get even better results (it's already getting better and it's only been a month), the thing is I was glad I didn't get the J-2000 as it would definitely be too weak to give a similar result. The only thing I haven't read reviews about is whether to go for an iron or metal head. Therefore, after consulting the company, I decided to go with metal, as it is more durable. Well that was a bad choice! The metal handle is very heavy and gets very hot. This is so difficult to handle and I feel like an accident is just around the corner. For good results and to prevent condensation from forming in the hose, I hang my clothes over the door. After steaming a few tracks, I get so tired that I take a break. I was in the shop the other day and they had a J4000 with a plastic head and I asked them to try it: - it's a lot lighter - it's a lot easier to handle - it doesn't get hot and feels a lot safer to break the head, when it falls to the ground very hard, i don't understand how i can lose control of the plastic head while with the metal head i drop it every time i feel heat from the metal and i get scared! the plastic cost me $71, it's expensive and I wish I'd stuck with it from the start. It's worth it though because I know this steamer would go perfectly with it. If you wish to order a head without a hose you will need to cut off the existing hose and connect the existing one, which can be dangerous and is not recommended! I haven't used an iron in over a month and don't think I'll be using it again in the future. I just love my Jiffy.
