I bought these after banging my knee really hard on the handlebars after falling off my bike into a muddy pit. They protect a fairly large area from mid-thigh to lower leg. They fit well in MX boots. They flex smoothly and they fit well. These knee pads did not interfere with driving. As they stood around, they seemed to want to prevent your leg from being fully extended, but it wasn't uncomfortable. My only issue right now is that my feet are big and the top strap could be longer. It rubs when driving and causes discomfort after a while. I can try to make some kind of extension or fleece cover for the strap.
