The problematic smell was mold in my camper fridge and freezer. Mold grew there for several weeks after the power outage. I used mold and mildew spray but the smell was still there. I've used boxes of baking soda for the fridge and freezer - no effect. I got these tubs by simply removing the entire lid and putting one in the fridge and the other in the freezer. They do have a slight smell, sort of a fresh scent, but I was worried my freezer would smell the same. After a day or two, the fridge and freezer were completely odor free. No mold and residual fresh smell. Now I keep one in the RV bathroom and one in the main kitchen. I highly recommend them and would buy them again.
