Upon opening the box for these lights, I realized I had some untangling to do before I could hang them. A few frustrating minutes later, they were being hung though! I wasn't sure how to hang these at first since there are small plastic hooks built-in main horizontal electrical cord. There are 10 hooks, and they are spaced approximately 13 inches apart. At each hook, there is a connector where the vertical string of lights goes down from the horizontal electrical wire. The strings of lights are able to be cut to a certain length, which I did on mine. Overall, I'm very happy with these lights, and enjoy the multiple light settings that I can cycle through on the power block. Speaking of the power block, besides that it does get warm to the touch during operation, the button to cycle through the various light settings is directly on the power block that plugs into the electrical outlet. While I can see the appeal for this being that there isn't a wireless remote to lose, and it doesn't need to be more than a single button, at times I wish there was a wireless remote. Not a deal breaker though. At this price point, these lights are a good value, and look great. I get compliments all the time on them.
