
They are used for something they are not intended for. Haven't been able to use them but have checked and confirmed they are EXACTLY as advertised, one side is USB3.0 ONLY. It doesn't work with USB 2.0 on this page as it lacks all connectors to make USB 2.0 work. The other side is USB2.0 and works with USB3.0 devices at USB2.0 speed because it has 4 USB 2.0 pins. However, you cannot use this to support TWO USB2.0 devices, despite the general expectation that USB3.0 ports support USB2.0. You can not.
