I use it to charge marine deep cycle batteries. I used a marine charger that costs 5 times as much but it didn't charge the battery very well. It also allowed me to fully charge my deep cycle voltage above 14 volts, in seven phases, so it holds a reliable charge that now lasts much longer. The proprietary marine charger only received full voltage up to 12.7V (which is a starter battery charge, not a deep cycle). The charger also has a dead lead acid battery repair function that lasts around 16 hours. You used to be able to use the repair function, you had to dispose of a few dead batteries.
