This is the best new tape you can get

Maxell is probably the last known reputable company still making cartridges (or at least putting their name on cartridges). If you want to record speech or music, they work perfectly. No player made today will be able to take advantage of a Type 2, 3 or 4 cassette, so you won't be missing out if you have a new cassette player. My player is 40 years old so I can say that with Dolby B on it sounds very good, better than you would expect. Positive: Maxell will still be releasing a good-sounding type 1 tape in 2021. the quality is good The band is consistent making it easy to set up the player. Comes with paper stickers for you to write on the tapes and J-Card. The case is screwed down so you can access the band and remove it if necessary Bad: Beat from old Maxell Type II band as the tone. The cassette case was mostly cracked, definitely not as durable as the old cases. The cassette itself was cracked and one tape even had plastic inside the tape case that I had to remove. It's not the classic gray case that I associate with maxell, but it makes everything sound good. I may seem a little depressed because this is my only choice. It's not a bad option, but I'd happily buy a Maxell Type 2 tape because it still sounds a little better on the right player. It's a heck of a lot better than Onn cassettes. It's the finest cartridge ever made, and that's what matters.
