This bowl is great for my rats. They were potty trained before I got this pan, but they adapted easily to the new one. Putting a smooth flat rock in the pan helps rats a lot, for some reason they like to urinate on rocks. This pan is large enough for a palm-sized rock and debris (I use paper pellets) lying around. The way it attaches to the cage is great and makes it very easy to take out and clean while still having a hard time for the rats to move around. I have two of these in a double tier cage. I will definitely buy this tray again.
