That's exactly what I wanted. Works perfectly.

Installation was incredibly easy - it took me about an hour and most of the time was spent checking the vehicle's wiring harness for 12vdc, switched 12v and ground wires to connect to find. (Get a good digital volt/ohm meter if you don't already have one!) It does exactly what I wanted - no compass or temp gauge, which I didn't want as I already have both. installed in my car. But it has Homelink buttons, so I no longer have to carry a separate garage door opener (yay!). The instructions for setting up Homelink are pretty clear too - you'll need your current garage door opener and depending on the type of garage door opener you have, you may need a ladder to climb to the top and click 'pull'. button on the garage door opener. (It's not a bad idea to have a second person help you with this - he/she can hit the "train" button while you're in the car by pressing the Homelink button you programmed. I have only took 2 minutes to learn the homelink buttons to work with my garage door with the help of my girlfriend, just make sure you park somewhere where the door(s) won't accidentally fall on your car, while practicing the Homelink(s) button and presumably if you have the right system, you can train one of your unused Homelink buttons (there are three) to turn the lights on and off around the house! (My system can't do this so can't test it personally.) Auto dimming works *wonderfully* Manual Mirror - this thing automatically adjusts the dimming based on how bright the light is behind you (goes from a slight dim to a HARD dim , if the person approaches you) and that's it. It wears off fairly quickly so there's never a problem with glare. Hi. I highly recommend buying this mirror if you want an auto-dimming mirror with Homelink buttons but don't want the temperature or compass displayed in the top right corner of the mirror.
