Review on ๐Ÿช‘ 24-Inch Linon Natural Barstool: Enhance Your Space with a Stylish Round Seat by Saul Franco

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Once assembled (difficult) it is a good stool.

I'll start with the positives of this very affordable stool: it looks like it's made of solid wood. The finished stool is pleasant to the touch, very strong, durable and has a very comfortable weight. It's level and even (not wobbly or even wobbly). Now for the bad: with what's in the box I wouldn't be able to complete the build for the reasons listed below. The included hardware (screws, wrenches, wooden dowels) is pretty rubbish. The screws and the key are made of very soft metal and are easily deformed. One screw is stripped, as is the Allen key. I had to use my own allen wrench to finish the job. The wooden plugs (to close the screw holes after assembly was complete) were of different sizes and some did not fit (too big or too small). The pilot holes for the screws were ridiculously small. I had to drill them out a bit more to allow the screws to be used with an allen wrench. A drill/driver could probably get this to work, but I didn't have a 6mm hex socket handy. It turned out that the 5/16" drill bit size was good for enlarging the pilot holes. Once I got the hole sizes, it was very easy to complete the project. Work, you get a pretty good stool for little money. If you find yourself If you're not even a tad knowledgeable about wood/tools, I'd suggest going for another option.
