Switched from 5820k, the performance leap is noticeable. Even in games, an average of + 30% fps with RTX 2080. I don’t see the point of overclocking. About cooling. The processor cooler Noctua NH-D15 is used, the mother is MSI Z490 Unify, the Silverstone FT02 case, the mother is located in it with ports up, at the top there is one 140mm fan for blowing out, at the bottom three 180mm for blowing in (one blows into the D15 radiator, which in turn blows into the upper 140mm, so even if you stop the cooler at D15, the temperature practically does not change; with the default BIOS settings, the mother did not even turn on the CPU cooler fans). The fans are set to 30% rpm up to 50°, so you can't hear them at all (and they're not noisy even at maximum). 20° at rest, 45° max in GTA V/Metro Exodus/Witcher 3, 55° max in OCCT. This is at 72° recommended and 100° maximum allowable. Everything is on average 15° less than it was with the 5820k. Those who complain about temperatures need to do something about the cooling, it's not the number of fans, but their placement.
