I don't know what transparency or warmth means, so I didn't rate them. The glasses I received are 0/3.0 (primary area/reading window). They do an excellent job of that. With these glasses I can see distance at a setting of 0 and close with a reading window at a setting of 3.0. These lenses have almost no transition effect (darkening in the sun) which was the main selling point for me. I don't see any shading at all when I'm outside and looking through the main part of the lens instead of looking over the top of the lens. I wrapped a lens in a sock, took a picture, put it outside for 20 minutes, then took off the sock and took another picture. There's a blue-gray car on the right, which can cause a shadow effect when the lens is out, but if you look where the arrows are pointing, there's almost no shadow effect. Only two stars for missing one of the main features. Has he been in the sun long enough? Maybe the sun wasn't bright enough to get the full blackout effect? It was 115 degrees here yesterday, so that doesn't explain the lack of blackout.
