The chain appears to be of good quality. I don't see any obvious imperfections like scratches, dents or discoloration. The edges of the links are smooth. To most people this will look like the real deal. Hope it stands the test of time. The clasp is also very strong and comfortable. It looks well made. Perhaps the weakest link is the part that connects the clasp to the rest of the chain. It looks a little thin and light. It is stamped 18KGP in fine print. Unfortunately I received a 13.5mm chain so it looks too garish and ridiculous to wear except on Halloween. I recommend you choose a smaller size, which is more tasteful. All in all, if you are looking for well-made, inexpensive gold plated chains, this would be a very sensible choice. Full marks from me!
