can be used seriously as its lights are USB powered and therefore connected to a computer or I think a dedicated power panel must be connected to a conventional socket 110 is connected. So the bulbs aren't putting out as many lumens as you'd like, and you'll likely need them from time to time. So I can't recommend them, but they're a pretty cool little flimsy set of stage lights. It consists of two specified USB lamps that have constant mode, slow flash and strobe effect and about 5 different light intensity levels; although the highest setting is not very high. There are also colored lenses that can be attached to light sources. The lighthead units mount to small, fragile plastic telescopic legs or poles that mount to one of two different tripods; a lower, heavier metal set or a slightly taller plastic tripod. A metal tripod seems more stable due to its weight; although both metal and plastic tripods could be used if different heights are required. Unfortunately, the proportions are a little off, too high in the lowest position and too low in the highest. It would be nice if the lamp could be mounted directly on a tripod so that it is closer to the table top; however, they are both connector ends and therefore do not touch. The whole setup is pretty basic, cheap, and fragile, but it can come in handy if you have the space to put it next to your computer. I have a completely separate table/photo booth for photography so this set is not suitable for that. Only two stars.
