Find installation video on YouTube and follow the instructions = good result. I just finished all 4 doors on my new car and they are almost invisible on the black paint. Some of the door edge contours that change abruptly are tricky, but I cut out a small piece on the back of the door to avoid wrinkles. The front and edge look fine. I used the same product on my previous car for years and it worked great. These are NOT the thick "bumpers" that protect against a door edge banging against a brick wall, but they will handle the more common accidental bumps just fine.
