They met expectations in terms of durability and practicality. I installed two of these in a "wood wall" (I installed 2x6s on the wall first and didn't use drywall for support) and offset them and mounted them a few inches apart to hang two bikes, almost no more room than one . They come with drywall screw adapters, but I would never hang that much weight on drywall for an object that is constantly being removed and replaced. Fine for a heavy one-way mirror, but drywall doesn't hold up well to constant impact and variable loads. Install them in studs or a mounted wooden base with the included screws and they work great.
