This works much the same as the similar product my dad has. I'd say it works better than using a copper braid, but I'm not very good at it. with copper. However, this thing is of pretty poor quality. The ledge around the open portion at the top of the pump is very poorly formed and I badly cut my thumb pushing it down the ledge when depressing the plunger. I haven't used it much so I don't know how durable it is, but it's pretty durable. Good for a cheap product that you will use several times. However, if you intend to use it frequently, get the best.
