Read This Review If you have never used a teleprompter and are using android

I consider myself an advanced filmmaker and have worked with many technologies... The teleprompter is not one of them. However, I am familiar with Neewer products and have purchased and used them before and I would highly recommend this brand. In my opinion the X12 instruction wasn't very clear out of the box. After removing the center clamp C and mounting the reflector on your tripod (make sure you use a sturdy, not cheap tripod), you will be prompted to download the Inmei app (for Android users) on GooglePlay. This app has many negative reviews and does not contain any instructions or screenshots, and the "App Description" in the bundled booklet does not help the user to understand the effective use of the app. Once you get comfortable with the basic workings of the app on your phone, you can flip the text in the app (use mirror mode in the bottom right corner) to reflect the correct text set on the teleprompter so you can read it. I had no problems using the app on my Android phone. The remote controls the app on your phone, which is useful if you're working alone, but I'd recommend using a larger device like an iPad to send text to the teleprompter. In order to successfully work with a teleprompter, you need to learn. YouTube is incredibly helpful for more tips on how to behave naturally and speak like a pro. Great product but be patient if you have never used a teleprompter before. It's a simple and amazing technology once you get the hang of it. I also like that it comes with a hard case as the glass can shatter. The reason I give this product 4 stars is the lack of instructions for those who are new to the world of teleprompters. It took me way more time than it should to figure out how to set it up and get it working properly.
