This is an amazing light. The only problem was that with VERY dull crayons, if you didn't tear off the paper the wax wouldn't stick and instead the crayon in the sharpener would break and it would just stop. I agree with other reviewers about its hardenability (we had 3 jams in an hour or so) but each time it was because we put very blunt crayons where the paper got stuck or the wax got stuck and then it didn't more worked. With normal colored pencils, which again needed a sharp point (I mean, it's not COMPLETELY flat), it worked amazingly. I agree what is better for adults for their children. pencils and can't imagine using it in a busy classroom full of kids. It will likely stick every 5 minutes if not used carefully.
