Review on QUANS 5W Cool White LED Desk Table Lamp, Clamp Clip on Gooseneck, Ultra Bright Silver, 19.68 inch by Robert Wood

Received this lamp today but am afraid to turn it on. Right out of the box, the design struck me as odd. There are no small holes in the plug like most electrical things. I know they aren't needed, but it still seemed strange. The cord seems small, as if the electrical wires are not adequately insulated. As I followed the wire to the base of the lamp, I saw that the wire simply entered the swan's neck, unprotected. There is a pretty sharp edge where the wire meets the metal and NOTHING is stopping it from severing the cable over time. In this case, there is a risk of fire and electric shock. Finally, I went through all the packaging and the lamp itself. everything started to make sense. THIS LAMP IS NOT UL LISTED. Underwriters Laboratories certifies the safety of consumer electrical products. I have never seen anything that could be connected without the UL seal. I'll send it back immediately. DO NOT BUY.
