I found this camera to be the perfect combination. It had a front display, a macro lens and a microphone input. I planned to use it to record some of my lessons. But the microphone input does not work. I've tried a rode gun mic and 3 different LAV mics and none of them are picking up sound. So unless you're recording someone speaking 6 inches or less in front of you, the audio is going to sound terrible.
