Saved me from a 4 disc fusion

30 years ago I was in a car accident which left my discs dehydrated and severely stenotic. The base of my cervical spine curves in the opposite direction, pressing against my throat. I work on a computer (which isn't helping this injury) and I'm at a stage where I can work 4 hours a day otherwise I get severe pain, muscle spasms, numbness and loss of muscle tone. I go to a chiropractor, I do yoga, I have physical therapy 15-30 minutes a day, I've had 6 long epidural surgeries, I sleep on my back, everything in my life is ergonomic. It's exhausting to sustain this injury to avoid surgery. Then a month ago I got this pillow to update a plain bolster I was using. Now I don't do maintenance anymore and also I work 6 hours a day - I finally have time to do what I need to do and not just work. As my doctor says, if you hold your neck in this position for more than 10 minutes, you go from elasticity (stretching) to plasticity (transformation). The extra little ridge to elevate the entire spine underneath is really the key to this pillow's success. My pillow is slightly inflated, just enough to feel it but not enough to be uncomfortable. I can sleep on it all night and my neck only changes when I sleep. I can lie on my side for the first time in years (not long). I have much less pain and virtually no numbness. Too bad I didn't find this a long time ago. This is the best thing that's happened to me in a long time. The only catch is that the air pump handle sometimes falls off in bed, although it comes back very easily.
