I just received this today and wanted to give a quick review of my purchase. I'll update this after using it for a while but thought I could help other future users clear the confusion about SD memory card errors. The instructions say to insert the card with the label facing the LCD screen. This is wrong and will cause your new memory card and camera to malfunction. The card label is placed facing the lens. Also, you need to format the card first before it can be read. To do this, simply press the menu button that brings up settings, scroll down and select the format. After that it is. should work fine. In the end I had my card in place and the battery door was closed, but it still wasn't fully latched so it couldn't see the card. Everything worked fine, but I tried. As you can see, this camera isn't a "just point and shoot" camera, but that's not too bad, it just means the quality is a bit better anyway. So far this has been a pretty good camera for the money and once I've tested it I'll update this review.
