They seem to be holding tight
are working well so far. The headlights are mounted straight up and didn't move at all on me. took the truck off the road through some winding trails and had no issues with her moving/shifting. With the lights in the ditch, I can still open the hood without hitting the windshield. Are they better than removing the hood and installing the correct brackets? absolutely not, but they are cheaper and much easier to install. So I'm happy with that.
