Last year I had a medical crisis and for the first time in all my years of living in my apartment I felt like I was in a pitch black hole. The dark winter days never seemed to provide enough light, and suddenly, neither did my apartment. I'm also getting older and tired of not being able to see as well as I should. It's time to replace my standard light bulbs. If your lights have standard bulbs they are A19 size and these bulbs are compatible. They use far less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs or compact fluorescent lamps, reducing your energy bills. I kept reading about the bluish cast coming from these LED bulbs and it made me nervous. I need a light for reading and working at my desk, and I don't need a "blue" light. This turned out to be very deceptive. They look like the light you would get from daylight. That's all you need to know. The moment I put one of them in place and turned on the light, I was very pleased. Everything is not necessarily brighter, but simply better illuminated. It is more attractive than yellowish soft white bulbs. They give the room a small, inexpensive look. The days were already getting dark and I was afraid of the change of season, but I think these lightbulbs will help a lot. I can see a lot better now. I highly recommend these and will be buying more.
